Responsible for the commercial management of complex contract(s) up to £100m your remit will include;

  • The day-to-day management of Commercial Teams.
  • Developing a culture of collaborative working throughout procurement and delivery phases, managing Supplier / Contractor commercial relationships.
  • Providing commercial expertise and support to the procurement process during the pre award Procurement phase.
  • Management of the execution and delivery phases of contracts.
  • Commercial management for the delivery of contract final account agreements.
  • Ensure management and governance of contracts in accordance with Commercial procedures, Project and business objectives.
  • Interface with Legal team on conditions of contract issue and variations.
  • Leading contract commercial reviews and attending progress reviews as required.
  • Implementing progress and cost management, preparation of contract specific progress reports and reporting and participating in periodic contract reviews.
  • Ongoing Commercial Management of contracts including; Notices and Instructions; Applications, Invoicing and Payment; Variations and Changes; Disputes and Claims; Delays, Extensions of Time, Force Majeure and Liquidated Damages; Bonds and Guarantees; Intellectual Property Rights; Termination; Progress Monitoring and Financial Reviews; Liabilities; Confidentiality Agreements; etc.




Applications are eagerly sought from experienced Commercial Managers who have a demonstrable track record in administering the delivery of successful contracts utilizing effective commercial and contract management skills utilizing best in class practice contract management methodologies


Familiarity with most common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment; with particular knowledge of UK Law and its impact upon the contract and commercial function is essential.
