Salary: £20,827 to £22,402 per annum


Job description

This is a truly exciting time to join Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC), which has achieved unprecedented success in its response to the workforce skills, competence and compliance agenda for the “first-in-a-generation” new nuclear build at Hinkley Point C.

We are the leading skills delivery partner to the project, and work in collaboration with the client, contractors, and supply chain. BTC are now the appointed Managing Agent for the three unique Centres of Excellence facilities that support the Tier 1 Mechanical & Electrical contractors, as they bring their workforces to HPC and fulfil their contracts to the standards required during the Mechanical & Electrical phase of the build.

As a result we are looking for a conscientious, enthusiastic individual, with excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills to join the team. Reporting to the Centres of Excellence Business Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Delivering a high quality, efficient experience for our HPC stakeholders who utilise the Centres of Excellence.
  • Handling training enquiries, both repeat business and new – from the initial enquiry to liaising with the College finance to administer the invoice
  • Handling the administration required for the various skills test delivered ( such as booking paperwork, sending joining instructions, payments, reporting and invoicing
  • Supporting with the planning of VIP visits and provide extensive administrative support such as booking carparking, catering and rooms.
  • You will be confident in all forms of communication, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and able to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally to represent our College.  Able to work independently and as part of a team and share ideas and input into the process and procedures to continually review our ways of working and service.
  • On a daily basis you will be part of a motivated team with a unique opportunity to be working directly with HPC and education within the context of Europe’s largest construction project via a large FE College that is producing extraordinary results.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible to work at the various centres as the working day requires.
